My solution is correct, but I still cannot solve this problem fast. Maybe the time limit should be increased? I doubt it is an optimization problem. It's not an optimization problem, it's just an easy math problem: AC in 0.001 ;) Is your solution O(1)? We have 3 cones. 1 with round bottom and 2 with parabolic bottom. Edited by author 28.03.2006 00:47 I spend whole day for finding formula by treble intagrals, but all what I got was cumbersome formulas, and when i read you hint I solved it immediately :-)... I was SO happy :-) THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!! Really a good hint. I was really surprised when found that volumes of both cones with parabollic bottoms are EQUAL =) Better to use Simpson numeric integration by height with respect to area of horizontal segment of circle of constant width. Edited by author 15.10.2007 19:14 Edited by author 15.10.2007 19:14 Is your solution O(1)? Yes Please, tell me the volume of the smaller part of the cone in sample. Edited by author 07.11.2007 18:23 Some clarifications needed... Eng version of description contains: "Output the amount of the powder remaining in the box in cubic centimeters accurate to TWO decimal places." Rus version : "Output ... accurate to FOUR decimal places." Sample output: "Output ... accurate to SIX decimal places." Please explain or specify more precisely !!! correct is "Output ... accurate to FOUR decimal places." problem statement is updated. What for are the dimentions of the box given? A suggestion is to add a test where r > 25 and the cone receives hyperbolic sections. What do you think about it? ;) Yes, really :(. I didn't notice this phrase and thought that the task is much more difficult than it is. And I was pretty surprised when it had accepted, but after I found that it's easy :) And, if to make a similar task where diameter can be more than the box side - it will be a really great one! This dimentions are give like limits on radius and height of cone :-) I have a formula but I have WA#4 ? Sqrt - is a only one function, that I use. All other members of formula use +,-,*,/ ? What's going on ? Help, please! And a question more! They wrote that we need 4 symbols after comma, but in the sample - 6. I sent my program with both variants and got WA#4? How it can be? Sorry for bad English. Thank you very much .... I have AC! |
