... airplane must climb to an altitude of h meters during the first t seconds of the flight ... Can time be less than t when height h is attained ? Edited by author 18.12.2023 11:15 Edited by author 18.12.2023 11:15 what's test? Edited by author 29.10.2011 21:35 For me, wa6 means max formula is wrong somewhere Test #6 h == 10000 && t2 == 500 && Vm == 50 && x == 21 ans: 0.000000000000000 476.190476190476200 see other topik For me, wa6 means max formula is wrong somewhere No, the formula is right. But think about MAX time, it also can be real, not only MIN. Note that : print the double is ok! Solution is very simple but I couldn`t firstly find it. It is a set of equations, everybody learned it at school. Simply try to solve this: y+z=t and v*y+x*z=h, where Y is MIN time and Z is t-MIN time. Try to find MAX by yourself. Sorry for my awful English. Good luck:) Edited by author 13.06.2013 01:13 10000 500 50 40 best of luck What is answer on this test? =) 0 250 So....., how get this answer? Explain, please. =) If the plane flies at speed 40, it will reach required height in 250 seconds, i.e. it will do it in time (less, than 500), and there are no time when it exceeded the speed limit (when passengers have their ears blocked). So, mintime = 0. Maxtime is 250, because the plane can fly all the way at speed = 40 + EPS :) Edited by author 31.10.2011 13:02 Thank you very mutch!!! AC! =) And just for fun tests: Test #1 h == 10000 && t2 == 500 && Vm == 50 && x == 10 Test #2 h == 10000 && t2 == 500 && Vm == 50 && x == 9 Test #3 h == 10000 && t2 == 500 && Vm == 50 && x == 11 Test #4 h == 10000 && t2 == 500 && Vm == 50 && x == 20 Test #5 h == 10000 && t2 == 500 && Vm == 50 && x == 19 Test #6 h == 10000 && t2 == 500 && Vm == 50 && x == 21 ans: 0.000000000000000 476.190476190476200 Hey there, Is it possible for you to explain the last one. why is it 476..19....? How much it must be? EPS is very small positive number. For example, you may assume EPS = 10^-2011 Thank you very much! But I didn't think that it must be SO small. Разрешается ли набирать высоту за время меньшее чем t? No comments Почему в ваших тестах при максимальной скорости подъёма в 50, вы поднимаетесь со скоростью в 80? (тест первый, другие не знаю) No comments Why no comments? :) Because questions either have no sense or have answers in statement. почаму в тесте минималка 125 секунд как так ? мин же будет 200 поделитесь кто нибудь своим опытом The key is noticing that the plane may change speeds, as noted in the problem, and changes speeds instantly.
