As for me, saturday is a perfect day of week for holding contests.

The moderator's translation is not exact.

Mr. +FAMAS+ would like *some* contests to be held on other days rather than Saturday, so people that permanently have problems with that particular day of week have a chance to participate.

See, it is a tradition for the contests to be held on Saturdays. And it is obvious that it is impossible to organize contests on workdays, because a lot of potential participants usually study/work on that days. That is why we may choose between Saturday and Sunday only. But Sunday is a holiday... I am not against Sundays, but as for "Timus Top Coders: Second Challenge" it is too late to change the date.

Maybe there should be a poll (like there usually is at TTB) before the contest, to arrange it at most convenient day, provided admins are fine with several possibilities?

You forgot about time zones. In London we have GMT, in Kiev GMT+2, in Ekaterinburg GMT+5 (Timus Time), in Peking GMT+8... Since there are a lot of Russian and Chinese programmers who participate in contests here, we must start the contest at 13:00 Timus Time. Not later.

As for the poll you must contact with Vladimir Yakovlev after April the 17-th.

Indeed, while university students normally study 5 days per week, many schools have a 6-days schedule. So it, makes sense to hold at least *some* contests on Sundays.
