When Timus was the big portal (nearby 2002-2003) and had an index, the origin of a word "Timus" has been described in section "About". There it has been written: "Timus" in interpretation from one of classic languages (I do not remember which) means spirit, courage, willpower, fortitude.

Pronunciation (Greek):
'θʌɪməs
Pronunciation same as at a "thymus" word (medicinal herb "thyme" (тимьян on the Russian language)).
